Don Mellor Adirondack Climbing Legacy Series Presentation Saturday October 24th, 2026

Don Mellor is going to present about his climbing exploits in the Adirondacks over the last 47 years! Having put up numerous first ascents on both rock and ice, written guide books to the region and been active in the Adirondack climbing community about as long as anyone still currently climbing, this is a presentation not to miss.

-Saturday October 24th at the Mountaineer outdoor store in Keene Valley. Doors 615pm. Show 645pm

-BYOB & Folding Lawn Chair

-$5 suggested donation

-$20 arm length of raffle tickets for Sterling Rope, Blue Ice Harness and Metolius Helmet

-Cash only. Exact change preferred.

-Contest: How many pitches of Don’s FA’s can you climb on 10/24/26? Lead/Top Rope/Follow; doesn’t matter, but you do have to make it to the top! Each guide book pitch only counts once. Mammut climbing rope for whoever climbs the most pitches.

-Parking: Onsite at the shop, along the west shoulder of Rt 73 (DON”T PARK IN THE FIELD BEYOND THE DELINEATORS), Mountaineer Downstream and public parking next to Valley Grocery.

-100% of the money collected goes to fund the ACC. The ACC is a completely volunteer organization.
